One of the tasks revamping the Grapevine Graphics website is to make the Grape Gourmet section more representative of our passion for food and drink. Over the next little while we’ll be adding more recipes.

We’re looking forward to some amazing partnerships with some our friends and colleagues. We can look forward to interesting contributors and tasty recipes! We’re stoked and getting into our own feedback loop, inspiring ourselves into new creativity.

This distracts us from the other projects already on the stove. Hopefully we’ll get into a good groove, stay balanced, and keep from burning the pot.

I looks like it’s time for some ‘cookin’ with gas!’

Drop
Set things straight, clean up house and get back to those damn projects! That’s what we’re talking about. Over the past few weeks Grapevine Graphics has been cleaning up some of the back line, revise our websites and generally get back to business. The holiday season is fast approaching and domestic obligations will always be a priority. At least we got a chance to revise the Grapevine Graphics Website.

Blog
Grapevine Graphics has the pleasure of hosting a total of three blogs; the Grapevine Graphics Blog, the Grape Gourmet, and Zippers: the magazine. The Grapevine Graphics Blog is focused on the general business of Grapevine Graphics, Mo’zArt Productions and the NöizRoom. We have plans to further integrate this into the main Grapevine Graphics website. Food has always been a great passion of Grapevine Graphics. The Grape Gourmet has been making a name for itself in the foodie community, gaining new followers and retweets all the time. Jin in the fun!

and Roll
Yup, we’re trying to get back into action, trying to get motivated and back into motion. We’ve got many projects that are considered WIP (work-in-progress) and yes, we’re trying to buckle down and get busy. We’re may not be hunting for new projects, but we’ll probably be derailed into taking a few on.

November 2012
GrapeGraphics.com has been revamped and restructured slightly.

Now, that’s crazy! LOL 3:-) 😈

Grape to Awake

05Sep12

Awakening
A deep sleep on a summer’s morning, being awoken by a ray of sunlight burning through your eyelids. The warmth of the sun forces you to remove the covers and grasp for a bit of fresh air. Ah, the summertime.

It’s been a while since our last post but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy. Between life, work and family we’ve managed to keep ourselves busy and as autumn inches it’s way closer, we’re getting ready for another round of creativity.

The New Jay Stoyan Show
The Jay Stoyan Show has been on hiatus all summer and is now going back into production with a slightly different format. A new venue for shooting has been procured and a slightly different focus for the show has been developed. Jay has decided to get back to his roots and produce a sports oriented show. The show will be highlighted by interviews with people related to local and national sports. Jay has been a long-time (and vocal) sports aficionado so this is moving forward (in my opinion). Grapevine Graphics will continue to help the show by providing some motion graphics in addition to recording the show’s voiceovers. We’re looking forward to getting things rolling.

Grape Projects
As Grapevine Graphics moves forward onto new projects, diversifying and solidifying it’s services, we’re also cleaning up and wrapping up some of the projects that haven’t quite been finished yet. This is promising to be an even better year than last. One new project that we’re gearing up is the Grape Gourmet Blog, a journal of our experiences tasting what our world has to offer! Check it out!

Sudden Death!
Tensions on and off set have been piling up over the past few weeks and suddenly came to a head during the last taping of The Jay Stoyan Show with Ashlee Monroe. Jay Stoyan and Ashlee Monroe decided to kill the show as-it-stands. The Continued tensions in the fabric and underpinnings of comprehension have forced the talent to break their contractual agreement and the show has been halted.

Horizontal Slide
In the midst of production of the 5th episode of The Jay Stoyan Show with Ashlee Monroe, the team learned of the demise of the show. We were also assured of the continuance ‘sans’ Ashlee. The show is now called The Jay Stoyan Show and will resume taping Friday!

The contractual issues put a nail in the coffin for airing the show on Fox29 but we’re still a ‘go’ with RogersTV! The hour format will be whittled to 30-minutes airing on Friday nights at 11PM.

Production
Mo’zArt* Productions’ project management and technical production strategy has proven itself extremely valuable, especially delivering to Fox29. The new show format forces us to review the process and revise as needed. Updates coming soon!

Considering the hurdles of the lack of budget and experience,  The Jay Stoyan Show with Ashlee Monroe project has been going rather well. Yes, there’s room for improvement but at the ‘end of the day,’ the show’s been successfully broadcast of Fox! FOX USA! True, it’s Fox29 (Buffalo), but hey… ‘it ain’t community programming anymore!’ Grapevine Graphics is proud to be part of this learning experience while being shown the path to true enlightenment through actions rather than just words.

Project Management
Mo’zArt* Productions’ project management and technical production strategy has proven itself not only helpful, but also essential. The strategy has been instrumental in ensuring the stages of production and delivery are addressed appropriately and in a timely manner. The delivery plan continues to be  revised while specific production quality issues are being dealt with as best as they can. As the system is locked-down, technical production management will be passed on to Jay Stoyan Productions. Mo’zArt Productions* will then take a supportive consulting role; this continues to be the goal.

Values,  the spiritual & metaphysical romance
Mo’zArt Productions* has proven itself valuable by steering the technical production of the  The Jay Stoyan Show with Ashlee Monroe. Managerial, creative and production duties have all be performed; technical production planning, coordination and asset management, graphic design, video and still photography, motion graphics, editing, and final digital video delivery.

Do what you can do, even when dealt with ____
Flying by the-seat-of-your-pants is not a recommended for the weak-of-heart (it’s a simple fact when trying to catch up with disaster). Now, while your metal may be forged in this fiery pitt, there comes a time that you must remove yourself and not become consumed, it could lead to your ultimate demise. Do what you can do.

“Step by step, slowly I turned.”
We continue to tackle the obstacles that fall before us while streamlining the process and improving the quality of every aspect of the show. As the technical production workflow steams along, another plan of action has been set to help improve camera blocking and framing. Thanks to some great crew, it is now part of the flow during taping!

The issue of quality of audio capture has reared it’s head in the past, we haven’t really dealt with it specifically. Now, we’re going to focus more specifically on those issues. The last show edited (S01E04), was the first true ‘tech-crew’ enhanced episode and it shows us great promise. Improvements continue to be made on the visual experience with better camera positioning, blocking and framing. Now we need to move onto improving the audio. Audio quality issues are similar to that which mar the visual side of production but may be more difficult.  Wish us luck.

System Malfunction, Failure Imminent?
It’s been another crazy week producing the  The Jay Stoyan Show with Ashlee Monroe. Mo’zArt Productions (the production division of Grapevine Graphics) has been feverishly trying to lock-down a reasonable production strategy. Unfortunately, problems are being encountered at almost every stage and are leading to unreasonable scheduling and delivery requirements! If it weren’t for ‘certain’ team players, the show would have faltered and halted! All-in-all, we barely made it this week. Hopefully, the team can get it together this week!

Project Management & Allocation of Duties
The delivery plan continues to be  revised while specific production quality issues are being dealt with as best as they can. Once the system is locked-down (relatively speaking), production management will be passed on to Jay Stoyan Productions. Mo’zArt Productions will then take a supportive consulting role.

This past week was friggin’ busy! Mo’zArt Productions (the production division of Grapevine Graphics) dug deep and succeeded in assisting with the delivery of  The Jay Stoyan Show with Ashlee Monroe to WUTV Fox29 (Buffalo). It was rough, thankfully our tenacious, ‘bulldog’ attitude helped us pull through compliant files which included the mandatory Closed Captioning (for USA). We’re queued for BROADCAST! The show debuts Friday night (Saturday morning) at 1:00AM EST on Fox29 (Buffalo). A plan of delivery for future shows was submitted to the production staff of the show so we can get back to what we do best… create!

We’re looking forward to creating more behind-the-scenes footage, location interviews and commercial spots! Away we go!
